INFO
Before you is the Alhambra Theatre - Masonic Temple (1895), and the Odd Fellows building (1882). The Alhambra Theatre opened in 1896 as the finest theatre between San Francisco and San Jose featuring seating for 1500 persons, a spacious stage and fine dressing rooms. It was the center of social and cultural events in Redwood City. Downstairs the Alhambra Bar was a fine restaurant and bar for gents. It proved to be popular with Wyatt Earp, a well-known member of the Old West. When the Masonic Lodge took over the Alhambra Theatre, a common facade unified it with the older I.O.O.F building.
