Next we have the International Order of Odd Fellows Hall (I.O.O.F.). The Redwood City chapter of the I.O.O.F. built this meeting hall in 1882. The upstairs was used as their lodge hall and the bottom floor was leased out for retail businesses. The building was also used by the Ancient Order of United Workman (a fraternal organization of life insurance workers) and the Woodmen of the World. While the County Courthouse was being reconstructed after the 1906 earthquake, the hall was used as San Mateo County's courtroom where Judge George Buck presided. The Alhambra Theater was located in the building to the left in the photograph. In 1921, after the Masons purchased the Alhambra, architect J.R. Miller designed a common facade of Italiante style to unify the historic buildings.
