William P. Jamieson Building

View Map

You are now in front of the building that was once owned by William P. Jamieson, a plumber and sheet metal man. Jamieson hired local architect, LeBaron Olive to design a two-part, two-story commercial building with 2 stores on the lower floor and living quarters and offices above. Elmore Hinman operated the town's first self-service market here, the Redwood Groceteria between 1920-1932. From 1939-1962 the Redwood Pharmacy was here, followed by Holmquist Hardware after their store across the street burned down.
