Next we have the Sequoia Hotel, constructed in 1912 as a first-class hotel at a then-costly sum of $100,000. The three-story brick building featured elaborately-decorated guest rooms, a restaurant, barbershop, and a large banquet room. Note that Broadway terminated at Main Street until 1931. The Sequoia Hotel replaced an earlier hotel called the Eureka House. The building still stands at the corner of Broadway and Main Street and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
